My family has been going here since before I was born. Dr Gillen has taken excellent care of all of our pets over the years. However, my old apartment building had a flea infestation and my 13 year old cat got very sick and anemic. We took him to Dr Gillen who basically shrugged and said we need to get the fleas off him or he'll die. We took him home and tried to bathe him and he became unresponsive. We took him to an emergency clinic in Springfield (who were excellent btw.) They gave us a pill called Capstar which kills all adult fleas on a pet. Immediate difference. They also told us the flea medication we had been told to get from LAH was pretty much ineffective. We got the kind they recommended and, after moving, we've been flea-free since. I cant fathom why Dr Gillen let us leave LAH with my cat in that condition.

I would not go anywhere else for pet care. Dr. Gillen is such a caring person and has always been there for us. He helped us so much with our dog Katy after we found out she had cancer and we eventually had to make the decision to let her go. His staff has always been good to us.

Dr. Gillen & his staff are awesome & provide exceptional care. I've used them many, many times over the past 8+ years and have never had a complaint. Kim is so kind & caring & we love seeing her smiling face. We've been happy with everyone we've dealt with. We've had a diabetic shih tzu for several years now & she recently developed Cushings disease. Our other, male dog recently developed what seems to be arthritis & has made an amazing recovery back to normal under their care. They are so good about laying out all the options & not rushing into expensive testing. I don't know what we'd do without them! We are very thankful for Dr. Gillen, Dr. Deneke & their staff!

Best vets in town. And friendly staff

Dr. Gillen is a great "Vet" and guy and very concerned about his clients. He has bent over back wards to help my dog through some trying times. He is very caring and concerned man and wants the best for his patients. Wouldn't go anywhere else and my Dog would say the same.

Three stars because, despite this anecdote, Dr Gillen has been a blessing to my parents over the years. I just won't be taking my boys there in the future.
